Sustainable Productivity

I’m sure you could list at least 5 “quick tips” for more productivity and less procrastination.

Those quick fixes and in-the-moment shortcuts are great!

But ultimately, any long-lasting change to your discipline and productivity will come from a long-term solution and not from an infinite series of quick fixes.

It’s great to get an immediate fix when you’re stuck, but you have to also follow up by investing in a long–term system. This balance is crucial if you want to have sustainable discipline.

The most disciplined people out there are not forcing themselves constantly to do things that they really don’t want to do. They aren’t torturing themselves. The most disciplined people make it easy to be disciplined and hard to procrastinate or be distracted. They create an environment where it’s easy to do hard things.

Creating these long-term solutions requires a system. A productivity system is a defined set of tools and rules for how you use those tools.

For example:

TOOL:
Google Calendar

RULE:
Every appointment, due date, and time-bound task will be added to my Calendar with reminders 1 day before and 1 hour before.

As you build up a set of tools and rules, you’ve got yourself a productivity system!

And productivity systems are what I’m all about!

I have my own system which I’ve built over the years and I have streamlined it into an online program! The FTE Bootcamp teaches you how to build my productivity system for yourself.
